Club Operation:
Staging from the Canadian Pacific out of Canada will first appear at the International RR Bridge. The bridges are normally left in the (closed) position at the club for operations and only raised/lowered for demonstations.

http://rmrrc.org/joomla30/index.php/superior-northern-operations/2-uncategorised/50-features-sault-ste-marie#sigProIdf4fd965007 The International Railroad Bridge at Sault St. Marie is made up of nine fixed pin-connected Camelback through truss spans plus three different types (two of which are in our layout) of moveable bridge types which is very unusual. The bridge was built in 1887 with the camelback truss spans and a swing span. As the locks developed the Bascule span was added in 1913 and the vertical lift span in 1960. The bridge is owned by the Canadian National Railway and is 5580 feet long . Due to weight restrictions on the bridge, locomotives have to be seperated so normally a train goes into the Soo yard for sorting and power reconfiguration if it has more than one locomotive. |
